Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Bess'
A dwarf Hinoki Cypress. Leaves are dark green, in tight bunches on a columnar stem. Tree is very narrow. First found by Joseph Reis of Long Island, New York around 1983. Great tree for trough. Grows 2-3 inches a year. Can take shade.
